Runners Shine at Cortland

The ESF men's and women's track team sent a small group down to the two day Cortland Classic track meet on April 17 and 18.

Continuing with the theme of the season, many personal records and season bests were met.

They include:

-Maura O’Brien, 1500m (5:02.54) PR

-Sophia DePierro, 1500m (5:05.75) SB

-Marissa Civatte, 1500m (5:14.54) PR

-Maizie Frakt, 1500m (5:27.27) PR

-Gabrielle McKenzie, 100H (17.30) SB

-Aidan Watts, 5k (16:32.74) PR

Coach Melfi's Comments

This was a good little tuneup to end our regular season. Our focus is now on the USCAA national track and field championships next weekend in Indiana, PA. We will have our work cut out for us if we intend to repeat again as champs.

They have had a great season thus far, and they will be ready for the challenge!
