It was a great weekend for SUNY ESF Basketball. On Saturday, the Mighty Oaks defeated Villa Maria College 82-61. The Oaks were led by Patrick Emery with 28 points, as well as Antonio Franco chipping in with 19. Mikey Sellin, Sawyer DeVoe, and Nate Sletvold had key contributions on both offense and defense to help the Mighty Oaks secure the win.
On Sunday, the Mighty Oaks traveled the thruway in the opposite direction to take on Albany Pharmacy. The Oaks lead throughout and coasted to a 72-55 victory. Emery, again lead the way with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Sletvold contributed 16 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. The defense was outstanding all weekend in two great team wins. SUNY ESF is back in action on Saturday with a road game at Fulton Montgomery CC at 3 pm.
