Timber Sports Open Their Season at Paul Smiths College

This past weekend on October 4th ESF Timber Sports traveled to Paul Smiths College for the first meet of the school year with 24 other individual teams from Eight other schools

Women's A had a triumphant first meet of the season, taking home first place in the women's division, winning events such as axe throw, pole climb, single buck, cookie stack, crosscut to hell, and team crosscut, bow saw, pulp toss, and log roll. Despite our win, we are buckling down and sharpening our skills for our home meet on October 25th.

ESF's Men's A team had a great first meet day with big wins in the Super Swede, Cookie Stack, and team Bow Saw events. As well as close seconds in team Cross Cut and Cross Cut to Hell. All this, along with various other events, came together to a cumulative second place for the Men's team. With this under their belts, they are gearing up and getting ready for our highly anticipated home meet.

Our Jack and Jill Division also had a great start to the season. They worked and played hard, taking home second place in their division despite scoring second or third place in most events. Their collective score impressively beat out six other teams!

Our team is excited to host our home Timber Sports meet on October 25th in Tully, NY, and hope to see you there!
